server or workstation to our remote site through a secure
Internet connection. Internet backups can be scheduled to
run automatically or done manually as needed. You’ll get confirmation
of your back-up and notification of any problems during the
back-up process. AKTEC Backup is included in our Total Care
network and computer monitoring services and is also available
as a stand-alone service. Simple and affordable, AKTEC Backup
is available for as little as $2.00 per GB per month.

AKTEC Backup uses the power of your broadband Internet connection to
backup the vital information stored on your computers' hard drive to the
servers at the AKTEC Backup Data Centers. AKTEC Backup then mirrors your
information to our other Data Centers, guaranteeing that your data is
available online, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Security
Backed up data files are encrypted using 256-bit AES encryption and use
128-bit SSL during transmission. The data files are automatically decrypted
during restore operations. The encryption is done based on a user defined
key so the data stored on AKTEC Backup Professional servers cannot be
decrypted by anybody other than you.
File Versioning
Each backup creates a new backup set identified by the backup date and time.
Users can restore up to 30 prior file/backup set versions including the most
recent version of their data files. Users can also restore the latest
versions of all their files or versions of files as of a specific backup set.
Fast and Efficient Backups
Backup Professional, our powerful backup system, efficiently uses data
compression during transmission. Incremental backups are done by transferring
only the modified portions of a file that was previously backed up.
Online MS SQL/MS Exchange Server and MS Exchange Server Brick-Level Backups
This feature is truly beneficial since it allows you to perform backups of
your running databases without any downtime to minimize network downtime.
This feature fits easily into most IT strategies for database backup and
recovery. You can also backup individual emails using the brick-level
backup feature of Backup Professional.
